TIPA, along with 15 innovative startups in Israel was nominated for an Atlas Award, with the award ceremony taking place on the 25th May. 2017 is the second year in Israel in which the Atlas Award event was held in collaboration with the Ayn Rand Center, TheMarker and Deloitte. The prize is granted to the Israeli startup company which has created a technology, idea or product of exceptional value in Israel and worldwide over the past year. Although TIPA did not win, as a startup in the packaging industry, the company was honored to be nomentated along with the most innovative companies in the country in verticals such as energy and software.
Ellen MacArthur Foundation – Circular Economy Start Up Initiative
On the 26th May, TIPA Co-Founder and CEO, Daphna Nissenbaum made a presentation at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation – Circular Economy Start Up Initiative in London.
The Ellen MacArthur Foundation is one of world’s leading NGO’s operating in the field of circular economy and plastic waste. The presentation gave TIPA the opportunity to present itself in front of investors and stakeholders to promote both regulatory and business initiatives.

Daphna Nissenbaum will be making a presentation entitled ‘Does sustainability and business success align?’
on the 1st of June, on the second day of BioBased Live Europe in Amsterdam, and will also be taking part in a panel discussion. Bio Based live is an event organized by the Bio-Based Magazine, a guide to the latest news and business developments in the rapidly growing bio-based industry.

World Forum For A Responsible Economy
On the 20th June Daphna Nissenbaum will make a presentation at the World Forum For A Responsible Economy, in Arras, France – a conference that highlights sustainable practices by being implemented by businesses. The topic of her presentation will be ‘New raw material, new usage, new technologies: innovation at the heart of bio economy.’

Multilayer Packaging Films
Yifat Bareket, TIPA’s CTO, will be raising awareness within the packaging scientific community about TIPA’s innovative technology at the Multilayer Packaging Films Conference which takes place 27th and 28th June, in Chicago, USA.
She will be participating in the Sustainability in Packaging session on the 27th June with a presentation entitled, ‘Biocompostable flexible packaging – are we asking for too much?’
This international business and technology conference for the specialty flexible packaging industry will cover a range of current technical and commercial issues including new films and materials, barrier properties and testing, production technology (such as coextrusion and coating), applications and markets.
