TIPA® Joins International Woolmark Prize Innovation Academy

These six finalists, Bethany Williams (UK), Casablanca (France), Kenneth Ize (Nigeria), Lecavalier (Canada), Matty Bovan (UK), and Thebe Magugu (South Africa) have showcased a commitment to upholding the prize’s pillars of product excellence, innovation, supply-chain transparency, sustainability and inclusivity – pillars that also underpin TIPA as a brand.

The Innovation Academy

The Woolmark Company is pleased to announce this year’s Innovation Academy partners Common Objective, Queen of Raw, BYBORRE, Blue Bite, TIPA, Hologarment and the program’s 43 international supply chain partners. The Innovation Academy program supports finalists with early stage investment, product research and development, mentoring, networking and commerce support.

The 2021 Innovation Academy will expand to support emerging designers, businesses and students globally through Industry Masterclasses, a series of live talks with industry experts from The Woolmark Company’s vast network of partners to provide unparalleled insights and support to grow a

sustainable business.

TIPA will be providing the finalists with packaging for their International Woolmark Prize collections, ensuring that the 2021 prize theme of less is more is upheld from product development to packaging.   

TIPA’s fashion packaging accommodates a diverse range of fully compostable packaging applications, including an eco-friendly alternative to conventional resealable polybags for apparel, accessories, jewellery, and more. Compostable alternatives to conventional plastic packaging help designers to reinforce sustainability ethos throughout their supply chain and ensure that their carefully manufactured clothing makes it to its destination safely and sustainably.
