TIPA’s compostable Tea Packs are made from printable, heat-sealable, industrially compostable metalized laminate with high moisture and oxygen barriers to maintain tea’s freshness. Tea Packs are offered as a reel of laminate, and run on most conventional plastic packaging machinery, allowing for an easy transition from conventional plastic tea packaging to fully compostable tea packs.

Currently, TIPA is offering a metalized compostable laminate for tea pack application. The matterial is printable, possesses high oxygen and moisture barriers for extended shelf-life, and runs on most conventional plastic packaging machinery.
Littering is never a good idea. If you want to dispose of your tea pack packaging, do it the right way, by placing it in a location suitable for composting such as home composter or organic waste bin, if your local waste treatment center accepts compostable packaging. Over there it will fully decompose, becoming a rich nutrient compost.
TIPA’s tea packs are compostable, and will biodegrade under compost conditions. The conditions in this environment will trigger the pack to decompose into water, CO2, and organic matter, eventually becoming a rich nutrient compost within 180 days. TIPA’s certified home compostable tea packaging will decompose in a home composter within 24 weeks; certified Industrial compostable tea packaging will decompose within 6-12 weeks, in industrial compostable facilities, according to your area regulations for industrial composting.
