InstaBrew breaks new ‘ground’ with artisan coffee cubes in compostable packaging

“Our coffee and tea cubes are individually wrapped in TIPA® laminates, so our customers can drink fresh, convenient coffee and feel assured that they aren’t adding to the 1 billion pounds of coffee pod plastic waste that’s accumulated every year.”

Juan Escobar
Co-Founder of Instabrew

From the beginning, InstaBrew decided that their customer’s experience would combine a great-tasting cup of coffee or tea with the convenience of being able to make it almost anywhere, plastic-impact free. As a result, their premium coffee cubes, a revolutionary product in the coffee industry, are big in flavor but small enough to fit in your pocket.

Of the 11 million metric tons of plastic leaked into the ocean, 80% is flexible and multilayer plastics like those used in on-the-go instant-coffee sachets.

Juan Escobar, one of InstaBrew’s co-founders sought out several companies that have compostable film for the brand’s individual pressed coffee cube wrappers. After two years of research, he found that TIPA’s eco-friendly packaging protected their cubes from the outside environment, kept their products fresh and high-quality for their customers, and, most importantly it helped them to reach one of our most important objectives, to help their customers protect the environment.

InstaBrew chose TIPA’s high-barrier laminate T.LAM 106 to individually wrap their Tea and Coffee cubes.
