A clear, and controversial message to OLDER’s customers using TIPA’s packaging: WE GIVE A FUCK, FULLY COMPOSTABLE BAG

“We have seen too many greenwashed narratives and non-authentic sustainable agendas and TIPA helped us to show our audience that we put our money where our mouth is. Our packaging says it quite precisely”

Letizia Caramia
CEO and Owner

OLDER is one of the few sustainable uniforms’ brands in the world. Founded in 2014, in Paris, OLDER was inspired by the idea of re-inventing the industrial uniform into a contemporary and innovative uniform option which will match the excellent standards on all the other artistic branches.

Their customers range from the legendary California hotel, Chateau Marmont, on the Sunset strip in Hollywood, to the new building Shards, one of the tallest buildings in Europe, to a michelin restaurant in the LEGO’s family-owned building on the sea front in Denmark. When working on these high-end projects, they enjoy the collaboration with the architects on these projects, as the “uniform and the interior space play together”. This holistic circle process conveys their artistically and ideologically ventures, for a true circular economy.

Every little part of their process is sustainable as possible, such as no paper, no plastic, no new boxes but reused boxes. They are working with only 2 sustainable fabrics: poly cotton blend and b&c bio cotton, certified materials in 5 colors, using the same composition. Investing in high quality sustainable fabrics, materials, and trimming, Letizia the co-founder says:” we have no annoying things to rip apart, only high-quality fabrics that don’t get ruined over time – NO WASTE.”

From labels, brand tags and manufacturers, they are trying to limit shipping& logistic. The results are that their premium product truly lasts longer than the competitors’ products.

OLDER grew tired of the green-wash narrative, and when it came to sustainable solutions for their business, along with their textile industry connections in the Italian manufacturing, they decided to come up with an authentic certified model, that puts its money where its mouth is.

TIPA had surfaced through various connections within the production and procurement sector, and they spotted the packaging in different fairs in France and Italy. TIPA was the right match for the company’s ideas.

Their garments are authentic, woven in Italy, manufactured in certified European factories, and packed in TIPA’s certified compostable bags.

They have created a sustainable supply chain that lives up to a standard, that makes the stamp “sustainable” more than just an empty statement.

To get their message through to their clients, OLDER found a simple and clear way, where they use TIPA’s packaging as their message carrier who summarises what we are all about: WE GIVE A FUCK, Fully Compostable Bag. This literal meaning, a bit controversial maybe, however completely makes their point. OLDER says that they think and act differently on this market and will continue to do so as their clients follow that line.

A lot of OLDER’s clients are too busy to read the messaging on the packaging, but with a clear message like WE GIVE A FUCK people stop for a minute, confused/shocked, but appreciative of the sustainability path, they are intrigued by OLDER’s messaging to compost TIPA’s bag.

OLDER choose TIPA’s bags for its elegant transparent looks, feel, and durability.
