Bio4Pack, a pioneer in sustainable and compostable packaging since 2000, has been at the forefront of developing solutions that minimize environmental impact and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. “Our mission has always been to provide excellent, innovative products to meet the demand for sustainable and fully compostable packaging,” says Patrick Gerritsen, CEO of Bio4Pack.

Bio4Pack’s extensive product range includes compostable films and laminates, bio-based bags, rigid trays, and more, which are sold globally, especially across Europe and the US. All the products comply with stringent standards, including EN, AS, OK Compost Home, OK Biobased, and ASTM certifications. The company has worked with notable customers such as True Dates, Naturally Pam, and Arctic Blue, demonstrating its commitment to creating eco-friendly solutions that align with both consumer and producer values. Gerritsen adds, “We are proud to support brands that share our vision for reducing environmental impact and eliminating unnecessary pollution caused by packaging.”

In 2023, Bio4Pack was acquired by TIPA Compostable Packaging, marking a significant milestone in the compostable packaging industry. This collaboration unites Bio4Pack’s expertise in converting and laminating compostable solutions with TIPA’s focus on developing and manufacturing innovative flexible compostable packaging solutions, creating a comprehensive portfolio of sustainable options for businesses worldwide.

TIPA’s global reach, with customers in Europe, Australia, and the United States, combined with Bio4Pack’s established expertise, ensures that this partnership delivers unparalleled value. The acquisition also emphasizes a shared commitment to carbon-neutral production processes and the use of renewable raw materials.

Patrick Gerritsen reflects on the significance of this collaboration: “By uniting under TIPA, we are not just expanding our product lines but also amplifying our impact on the sustainability revolution. We’re empowering businesses to transition to packaging that aligns with nature and the principles of a circular economy.

This partnership highlights a shared vision for a sustainable future, where innovative solutions transform the packaging industry and inspire others to join the movement toward zero waste.
