Sleep Serene with Dewberry and TIPA: Sustainable Bedding Dreams are Made Of

Co-Founder of Dewberry

In a world where sustainability is a growing concern, two entrepreneurial moms embarked on a mission to offer something more for the future of children. This is the story of Dewberry – a brand built on responsible choices, eco-conscious materials, and a commitment to creating a better world

Founded in 2020, in Los Angeles, California, by two visionary moms, Viktoria Kirakosyan and Angelina Tumasova, Dewberry was born out of a necessity to find premium, sustainable kids’ bedding for environmentally conscious parents who believe in shared space and aesthetics. Dissatisfied with the market’s limited offerings primarily focused on crib bedding, Viktoria and Angelina recognized the gap for sustainable bedding catering to children over 3 years old. “The only way to make a sustainable purchase is by buying something that will last,” they say, reminiscing about their upbringing in a country facing scarcity during the Soviet Union era. Drawing inspiration from the invaluable habit of economy instilled in them, Dewberry’s founders set out to craft bedding that would outlast fleeting trends, ensuring lasting quality and sustainability.

Central to Dewberry’s commitment to the environment is their choice of materials. First, the brand’s organic cotton bedding, crafted in Portugal, is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Second, in their efforts to maintain a completely plastic-free product, they have taken it a step further by utilizing Corozo palm tree seeds as buttons for their duvet covers, providing an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastic buttons These sustainable practices guarantee environmental responsibility throughout the entire supply chain.

Every aspect of Dewberry’s product is beautiful and environmentally conscious, including their choice of packaging. Recognizing the harmful impact of traditional plastic packaging on the environment, Dewberry was determined to find a more sustainable solution. Their quest led them to TIPA and after extensive research, Dewberry embraced TIPA’s thicker and sturdier packaging, which met their needs perfectly. “Our target audience values true sustainability and is passionate about reducing pollution and exploring other alternatives besides simple recycling – like composting. Together with TIPA, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of compostable packaging. We have even dedicated an entire website section to showing our customers why TIPA’s packaging is a game-changer in today’s sustainable packaging industry”.
