When it came to packaging, Kencko chose TIPA’s compostable solutions to pack their smoothies and oatmeals, to align with their sustainability goals. “When we started designing the product, we were seeking a packaging solution that would provide us with all the relevant functional properties to protect our powders”, says Michele Frenkel, Kencko’s Sr. Director of Product and Innovation. “At the same time, we didn’t want to compromise on environmental stewardship.
“We were also quite aware that the most commonly used single-serve plastic sachets are not recyclable. That’s when we started to look for alternatives and found a solution that perfectly aligned with our values and needs.”
